The kitchen is the only room in the house where most individuals spend a lot of time. Be it for the preparation of food or a gathering, the kitchen will always seem alive and energetic. Thus, if you are interested in converting your kitchens into German Kitchens, we give you the steps to get that perfect designer kitchen

Step 1:Create efficiency

Every kitchen should have an element of efficiency. Imagine you are working in a kitchen which is a complete mess. You should plan your designer kitchen in such a way that there is room for efficiency when you perform of create meals in the room. Your cooking style will also reflect the element of efficiency that is needed in your German kitchens. If you are a person who prefers to work on a single meal at a time, an ideally small place will work for you, however if you are a multi-tasker, you will ideally need a spacious room to move about.

Step 2: Ease of performing

Creation of meals takes time, effort and precision. No one walks into a kitchen and mix and match random food materials to create a meal. German kitchens reflect this convenience in their design style and ensure that those who work in the kitchen follow the same concept. Each cooking style and procedure is different for different individuals; therefore it should also reflect the ease of their own kitchen style. Ensure that there is ample space for the three parts of the kitchen where food is prepared, stored and cleaning. All these elements should be within arm’s reach, preventing the resident chef from running all over the roomlooking for the equipment he needs.

Step 3: Create comfort

German kitchens always incorporate an element of comfort. This can include storage as well as creation of meals. With a designer kitchen, this can be easily replicated. One has to keep in mind how he wants his German kitchens to look like, with ample thought given to comfort. Each meal preparation should be made with a comfort to ensure that the process is not rushed. This will eventually lead to meals being prepared in haphazard manner and making the meal utterly messy

Step 4: Uniqueness of your own personal style.

A kitchen has a personal attachment to any house owner, especially if he or she is the one preparing the meals. The environment of the kitchen reflects and inspires the mood of the chef during the preparation of the meal. What better way to inspire the mood that having a personal attachment to your very own designer kitchens. Look and research for the best German kitchens styles and how you can incorporate your own taste in them. Most designs used for German Kitchens allow room for adjustment, and this is a great opportunity for you to have your very own designer kitchens.

There is enough pain one has to take while remodeling a house. From selecting the suitable paint, furniture pieces to exclusive antiques collection, hard work of months is required for designing a living space. However, there is often a situation when you run out of the time and need instant yet abiding change to impress the visitors. The need of fresh feel or aura which puts you into deep thoughts of stylizing an abode can be fulfilled through carpets.

Floors when dressed can suitably be your guide to refurbish the rest of decor. In a trial to make your milieu feel welcoming, never ever put floorings on least priority. An instant drama they could create comes with the material stuff and designs used. There is a chaotic situation actually when you start searching for kind of fabric or pattern which can go right with your interiors. Options like hand woven or hand tufted, synthetic or natural, designer or machine made always puts in dilemma. The golden rule for shopping carpets is considering your lifestyle and decor needs.

There is no need of splurging on expensive carpet when it can’t withstand the high footfall in your space. Style of the carpet depends upon its construction- cut pile or loop pile. Where cut pile increase the durability of fabric due to density of tufts and twists of yarn, loop pile produce all purpose carpets. Then, there could also the mixture of cut and loop which gives a textured feel, perfect for highly trafficked zones. Additionally, such fabric hides stains and dirt as well.

Quality of carpet depends upon five factors- fiber type and its construction, weight, twist and density. Weight is obviously the number of fibers used for manufacturing. More is the number; heavier the carpet will be and better is its quality. Types of fibers involved make the look, feel, durability and even the price of every carpet differ. Commonly used fibers for floorings include-

  • Nylon- Very popular, comes in two forms- nylon 6 and nylon 6, 6. A strong and durable fiber is resistant to wear and tear. Not stain repelling but treatments are available to shield it from stains. On sun exposure, its original quality gets fade away and a conductor of static electricity.
  • Olefin- It’s not as much resilient as nylon but can’t fade so easily. It’s perfect for even outdoor carpeting since it’s resistant to mildew and molds. You might find it a bit difficult to walk on it bare foot. Its seams are sort of visible as compared to other alternatives.
  • Polyester - Not much popular, it gives the feel of wool blended flooring at cheaper prices. Anti-static in nature, it’s again resistant to molds and mildew. It has a soft feel but more prone to damages and fades.
  • Wool- The only natural fiber among flooring options, it feels heavenly underfoot. It feels amazing and wonderful to walk barefoot on it but a good price is what has to pay for it. Quite safe and comfortable for all, it has got resistance again both stains and dirt.
  • Blends- Amalgam of above mentioned fibers tends to improve the feel, looks and durability of the carpet. Common blends include wool, olefin and nylon.

Buy designer carpets online from homebyfreedom which has a blend of wool and viscose. They have got the charismatic visuals and luxurious feel to turn your floor space worth admiration.

Greek letters, as a kind of vintage symbols of culture, are very popular with young people groups or fraternity groups to show their individuality. It has been included in fashion designing now. You may have noticed young boys wearing long tops with Greek letters on them.

Here from now on, you can learn how to get these Greek letters onto shirts all by yourselves. Take it fun and you’ll get a unique cool Greek lettered shirt for yourself. And who knows, you may be able to earn some money by selling them as well… Come on and get started!

.

Skill Level:

Moderately Easy

.

Preparation:

  • The shirt you want to have Greek letters on
  • A thin layout Stencil
  • Ink in the colors that you would like the letters to be
  • A brush

.

Instruction:

  1. Choose your favorite Greek letters and print these letters. But before printing, save it into an image format, photoshop the image to a reversed version, so that when you apply them to the shirt people will see them in reverse again thus in the right order. Make sure the size of the image is suitable for your shirt.
  2. After printing the reversed Greek letters, cut the letters off the paper. Use the paper letters to take a stencil copy and wait them to dry.
  3. Use a razor to cut the inside part of the letters to make them hollowed shells. This is the most difficult part of the whole procedure. You need to do it carefully to make sure both the hollowed shells and the cut letters intact.
  4. Put the hollowed shells of letters on the shirt. Apply a thick coat of paint using the brush to the exposed patches on the shirt. Do it slowly and slightly to ensure that the ink won’t brim over the patches or make the letters fuzzy.
  5. Wait a longer while for the ink to get dry. And then slightly remove the stencils one by one.

Here is your Greek lettered t-shirt!

.

Tips and warning:

  1. You must process steps 4 and 5 really carefully. First the stencils are the key to make a good t-shirt print. Second, after you just cut them once, you could put them away and make an iterative use of them, which is why I mentioned you might be able to sell custom shirts. The brushing part is the final and most important step in the whole process. You can ruin your shirt if not doing properly or carefully.
  2. After the ink completely dries out, press the shirt with an iron back and forth with a piece of fabric sandwiched in the middle. This is to help the ink get infiltrated into the fabric cells of the shirt.
  3. It’s best to wash the lettered t-shirt in cold water. Don’t use wild washing with your washing machine and use gentle wash setting instead. Hand wash is strongly suggested.

If you find the whole DIY procedure is too complicated, which I have to admit yes, and for girls that love shiny style, you can choose a much easier way to get mysterious Greek letter designs for your shirts – to DIY or buy a rhinestone letter iron-on transfer! As we shared in our older articles, you can give these bling fashions a try! Lively and sunny girls are crazy about them!

The traits of a bad interior designer are something you should be familiar with in order to find the ones not having them, and to be safe from the ones who may turn your dream into nightmare. The following are the unwanted qualities which make a designer bad:

ð Prior experience- The experience of the designer is the evidence of his expertise and thus a must thing to research on. Only an experienced Interior Designer knows the importance of house-aging factors and infusing luxury with functionality. Also such a designer can give you insights about a design with a futuristic view point, having worked on lot of projects he will know about the practicality of design on paper and while implementing it. A designer must have completed a minimum of 10 odd projects, so that it gets easier for you to evaluate his work precisely.

ð Authentic ideas versus the copied ones – A numerous designs are visible when you surf through the internet, which are copied and even presented to clients sometimes. Not being innovative and capable to think out of the mark is what ranks the designers down. Go through the previous works done by the designers, if you find the designs to be pirated or bad, you don’t need to encounter the one. Ultimately work is something no employer wants to negotiate with. The designs can be good, bad, ugly and apparently speak for themselves as it is said “each home has something to say”.

ð Knowledge of materials – As the market is continuously experimenting and coming up with new list of materials, so the designer needs to be all ears regarding the new updates and offer the latest options to the client. You would want to incorporate the latest designs, artwork and trendy materials to embellish your place in an extraordinary manner. He/she should have knowledge about the latest materials and should be able to source them at a reasonable cost as well. Customized International Sourcing is the latest service that Expert Interior Designers in India are providing these days. A designer not well updated needs to be cut short.

ð Knowledge of budget and prices – Along with the information of the new materials, awareness of the prices of those is also needed so that the client doesn’t require enquiring about the prices on his/her own. Beware of the uninformed designers as you would not want to burn a hefty hole in your pocket with a wrong interior designer who procures things from just anywhere without comparing the prices.

ð Well established – Designers are preferred to have well established offices of their own. Not owning an office is something clients shouldn’t easily rely upon. Just noting down the contact numbers of the designers and to begin work with them is not recommended. Also their office’s Interior design will give you an insight of how good they are at Interior Designing. Before jumping to any decision go through the Top 10 Interior Designers of India and then choose wisely.

Design Your Ideal Outdoor Kitchen

With summer here, you probably can’t wait to get outside and enjoy the nice weather. There are several ways to do this, of course, but none compare to an outdoor kitchen. It makes your home ideal for neighborhood parties, having family over, or just enjoying a nice meal with your loved ones. Plus, if you ever sell, nothing is going to wow a buyer like showing them your outdoor kitchen. As your starting fresh with its design, you have plenty of options to consider. Here are some important tips to keep in mind.

Include Everything You Need

Many people with outdoor kitchens also use their indoor version to prepare meals. This makes plenty of sense, but you should ensure that your outdoor space also includes enough that you don’t need to run back and forth constantly. A lot of homeowners install a refrigerator in their outdoor kitchen. That might be too much for the budget right now. But you should still include surfaces for preparing food. A sink is also a good idea, otherwise you’ll be without a water supply and even an outdoor kitchen needs one of those. Depending on the types of meals you usually prepare, having appliances or at least outlets for them is generally a good idea too.

Don’t Forget the Light

If you have patio lights that will hit your patio kitchen, that may be enough. But take time to consider where your new kitchen is going to go and whether more light is needed. You don’t want to be preparing cutlets by flashlight, after all.

Add a Roof

Just because you’re outdoors doesn’t mean your new kitchen doesn’t need some kind of roof or canopy. This way, if it rains, the party doesn’t have to be over. Enjoy the cool weather from the comfort of your patio kitchen and keep on cooking. A roof also makes it easier to:

  • Add lights
  • Hang a chandelier
  • Install speakers

Go Beyond an Oven

With an outdoor kitchen, you have way more options for cooking than you do indoors. Adding an oven makes plenty of sense; if nothing else, it works for food preparation. However, there’s no reason to stop there. A grill is the obvious choice and definitely has its place. But why not add a smoker to go along with it? One especially fun option is a wood burning pizza oven. These days, you don’t even need the wood. Go with propane and you can still make delicious pizzas from the comfort of your own backyard. Choose stone for the exterior and no one will know your classic pizza oven is running on a modern design.

Keep Cooking Social

Most backyards include a grill and one of its many benefits is that the cook still has a clear view of everyone and is able to interact and partake in the party. When you design a kitchen outside, however, it’s easy to put the cooking space somewhere off in the corner. That’s hardly any way to thank the chef for all their hard work. Instead, make sure they are able to maintain contact with where the rest of the people in your backyard.

Consider Your Architectural Options

Conventional wisdom is that your outdoor kitchen should blend in with the rest of the home. If you have a house with a brick exterior, your patio kitchen may look a bit odd if it has a Mediterranean feel to it.

However, if you separate your kitchen far enough from the rest of the home, giving it a different aesthetic may increase the appeal. Going from your traditional house to a tiki bar-themed kitchen, for example, is a fun idea if you can pull it off. At the end of the day, it’s your kitchen; allow it to reflect your style.

Include a Dining Space

This may seem like odd advice, but don’t forget that your kitchen should include a dining space and preferably one that’s nearby. Spend an equal amount of time designing it as well. No matter how great your kitchen looks, if people don’t like the dining room, your investment is going to suffer.

Nothing is better in the summer months than having an outdoor kitchen at your disposal. It makes everything from simple dinners to block parties that much more fun. Just remember to keep the above in mind so your design is everything you imagined.

After months of DIY training, are you getting more and more interested in home based DIY and more and more skillful to handle different custom tasks? Now we are going to move a little bit on and try to make ourselves a purse! In this article, we will discuss how to create a fashionable envelop purse just with old materials that you can find at home!

Skill Level:

Hard

Preparation:

1. 20*6 inches plain fabric:

to make the inner side of the envelop purse.

2. 20*6 inches patterned fabric:

to make the outer side of the purse. Or you can use the same plain fabric and apply small iron-on transfers later.

3. 1 button: to fasten the flap of the envelop purse.

4. A strip:

that is the same patterned fabric and 40 inches long, to make the strap of the purse.

5. Needle

6. Thread:

in the same color of the patterned fabric you choose

7. A pair of scissors

8. Chalk

Instruction:

1.

Sew the two pieces of fabric together.

2.

Now you have a rectangular pocket in your hand. Put the patterned side towards you and fold the fabric but keep at least 4 inches of patterned fabric spare at the top, which will be the flap of the purse.

3.

Sew the 2 seams of the purse neatly. Now you get an embryonic form of the envelope purse.

4.

For the 4 inches of spare patterned fabric, let’s first draw a sector out of it with chalk and cut it with the scissors and sew a seam around the edge from the inside of the purse. A perfect flap is done.

5.

Cut out and sew a buttonhole on the flap. Then sew the button at the exact point on the body part of the envelop.

6.

The last step is to add the strap to the purse. Sew the 40″ long patterned fabric strip to the left top and the right top of the purse.

Now your unique pretty envelop purse is here. If you find the pattern on the envelop purse is not satisfying, you can add a bling rhinestone transfer design to make it shine. Just iron it on the front side or on the flap of the purse.

Still remember how to create an iron on rhinestone transfer for T-shirt which we learned 2 weeks ago? Try yourself and make a beautiful butterfly rhinestone transfer. Just remember to make it small enough for the purse. Or maybe you have made one from our last DIY article? Get it heat pressed on your newly created purse!

All you need do is to put your daily changes, cards, cell-phone and lipstick in, buckle it up and walk out to your afternoon tea!
